Sometimes I get so wrapped up in the inspiration part of design that I forget to share my other favorite part – sources!! There are so many cool companies out there doing great things, and of course so many beautiful handmade products coming from small businesses, I really want to get back to showcasing more of those around here. So, lets’ start with a textiles company that I’m currently obsessed with: Pampa.
Of course… they’re located in Australia where it seems all the amazing design things come from these days. But their rugs are seriously stunning.
Their array of rugs in every style from neutral to bursting with color capture the skills of Argentinian weavers, and their business supports local and fair trade. Bonus.
This style is one of my favorites with the little tufts – you can see the quality of the tight weaving in these details… so fantastic!
While they are across the world, they will ship internationally, so if you see one you just have to have, you can contact them directly for pricing.
There’s also a great interview with the founders that I found on Design Chaser to lend a little more insight into this cool globe-trotting couple, Victoria Aguirre and Carlyon Wilson.
